2. Principles
We operate this platform as a non-commercial service for the community. Privacy matters to us. We do not sell data, do not share data with third parties and do not run any advertising. We process only the data needed to operate the platform.
3. Data Processed
As part of your user account we process the following data:
- Username and display name
- Email address
- Password (stored only as a cryptographic hash)
- Language preference, time zone, display preference (dark mode)
- Verification code, creation, verification and last-access timestamps
- Patterns you create or upload and their contents
- Group memberships, invitations and messages
When you visit the site, the web server processes technically necessary connection data (e.g. IP address, timestamp, requested page, user agent) in server logs. These are used only for operation, security and troubleshooting and are deleted after a short period.
4. Cookies
We use only technically necessary session cookies to recognise you after login. We do not use any tracking or advertising cookies, and no third-party cookies.
5. Purposes and Legal Bases
We process your data to provide the service (contract), for authentication, for communication with you (e.g. email verification, password recovery) and to safeguard our legitimate interests in the secure and stable operation of the platform. Applicable laws are the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
6. Storage Location
Data is stored on servers located within the European Union.
7. Disclosure to Third Parties
We do not sell your personal data and do not disclose it to third parties. Disclosure occurs only where required by law or necessary to enforce our rights. Processors (e.g. hosting providers) are carefully selected and contractually bound.
8. Retention
We store your data for as long as your account exists. Unverified accounts are automatically deleted after a short period. When you delete your account, your personal data is deleted; for technical or legal reasons, some data may remain in backups for a limited time.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data and – within the legal requirements – to restrict processing and to data portability. You may also object to processing. Please contact info@brunoldsoftware.ch. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority (in Switzerland: FDPIC).
10. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. However, complete security of data transmission over the internet cannot be guaranteed.

We may update this privacy policy. The current version published on this page applies.
